The "I have to" diet

Every day I find myself using the phrase, "I have to," about a million times. I don't know about you, but I seriously HATE having to say that. Reason being? Nothing makes me want to do something less than being required to do it (especially when there are several of those things on the to do list).

So I had this idea to try something new. Whenever I catch myself thinking "I have to," I am going to say "I get to" or "I want to." The words you use can have such a powerful impact on your day and I challenge you to be more careful about your selection in words.

Take a look.

I have to walk the dog...ughhhh but I don't want to get out of bed.

"I have to" is a chore.

I get to walk the dog.....I'm thankful I have my legs & a sweet cute pup.

"I get to" is a privilege.

I want to to walk the dog... I'm happy to accomplish this.

"I want to" is a choice.

I challenge you to join me in doing the "I have to" diet.

Good luck, and tell me how it goes.
