FAQS

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM COUNSELING WITH YOU?

While I am a licensed mental health counselor, I also take an integrative medicine approach to mental health. During our time together, I will do a full mind body assessment to determine all factors that may be impacting your mental health. I will then help you achieve mental wellness by using a variety of approaches including, but not limited to, counseling, nutrition, herbal medicine, and exercise. Individual's cultural background and preferences to treatment will be discussed to tailor an approach that is right for you.

DO YOU PRESCRIBE MEDICATION?

While I do not prescribe medication, I can refer to individuals that do. Although medication can be helpful to some, I do not believe, however,  that it is always the best line of defense for everyone. After a thorough discussion on all your options, I can refer you to providers that can compliment the work we do together, if that's what we decide is best for you.

WHY DO PEOPLE SEEK COUNSELING?

There are many reasons to be honest, but I think most people just want to be happier or more successful, but are just not sure how to make that happen on their own. Having a neutral perspective that is trained in facilitating mental health growth gives you that leg up against doing it yourself. During our time together, I will learn you so we can work together to make that dream a reality.

WHY DOES SOMEONE DEICIDE TO WORK WITH A COUNSELOR?

There are many reasons to be honest, but I think most people just want to be happier or more successful, but are just not sure how to make that happen on their own. Having a neutral prospective that is trained in facilitating mental health growth gives you that leg up against doing it yourself. During our time together, I will learn you so we can work together to make that dream a reality.

HOW MUCH IS THIS GOING TO COST ME?

For individual counseling clients, the first session (your intake session) is $175, and is 65 minutes. All remaining sessions are $150, and are 50 minutes.

Couples counseling intakes are $195 and 65 minutes long. All remaining couples sessions are 50 minutes and cost $170.

How often you come, is based on your level of need. I see people as often as twice a week and as little as once every six weeks. I do recommend new clients start off weekly, at least for the first month, to build momentum, capitalize on motivation, and build rapport with the counselor as quickly as possible to ensure your best results in counseling. I do, however, take a collaborative approach to counseling so together we will figure out what is best for you. A good faith estimate of costs can be given to you upon request.

Coaching sessions for Counselors are also $140 for 50 minutes. Emotional Support Animal Evaluations are $140 and includes the necessary documentation. Emotional Support Animals Evaluations are free, however, to current and active counseling clients.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY SESSION?

No problem. There is no cancellation fee if you cancel prior to 24 hours in advance. If you “no show” or cancel with less than 24 hours in advance, you will be charged the full amount of the session.
